Rotary Club Donates Books to the Library

Building on their long-standing partnership with the library, the Rotary Club of Sierra Madre donated more than 50 children’s fiction books to the Sierra Madre Public Library in August 2012.

The books will be located in the recently remodeled and newly named Rotary Children’s Library. All the brand new books will contain nameplates that say, “This book was donated in honor of a speaker who presented to the Rotary Club of Sierra Madre at its weekly meetings in 2012.”

Rotary member Janice Kramer met with Children’s Librarian Meegan Tosh to select the books. Library Director Carolyn Thomas said, “We are thrilled that our Rotarians value reading and have provided for more children’s books in our library.”
