Teen Book Club Brings Readers Together

Middle and high school students find fun, friends and share the love of reading at the Teen Book Club, Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Sierra Madre Public Library.

Anyone in grade 7 or above can join and receive free paperback books, eat snacks, play board games, and make friends every Wednesday throughout the school year.

Teens discuss and choose the books they want to read and Youth Services Librarian Meegan Tosh orders the paperback books. “This is a kid run group. They spend a lot of time talking about what they like and don’t like, share their favorites with each other and finally settle on a list of what they want to read, said Tosh. “We have had some pretty lively discussions.”

The Book Club is supported by the Friends of the Library and the Woman’s Club. For more information, call the Library at 355-7186. Sierra Madre Public Library, 440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre, CA 91024
