Hart Park House Senior Center Remains Open During Repairs

A pipe in the restroom of the Hart Park House Senior Center recently burst and caused water damage to the facility. Repairs will be made on the weekends, allowing the center to remain open throughout the week. No relocation is necessary; however, bingo on Tuesdays, August 5th and 12th, 2014, and the Senior Club meetings on Saturdays, August 2nd and 9th, 2014, are cancelled. All other programs and services will be offered at the Hark Park House Senior Center as usual.

Complimentary Eye Testings and Reading Glasses for All

Sierra Madre Rotary Club member Dr. Michael Budincich will be offering free eye testings and stock reading glasses to all interested individuals. As founder and President of Manos Con Alas Ministries, Dr. Budincich is dedicated to providing complimentary health care services for people both inside and outside of our country’s borders. Dr. Budincich will be available Tuesday, August 12th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm for consultations at the Hart Park House Senior Center located in Memorial Park, 222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Each consultation will take approximately 5 minutes. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are encouraged. Last Day of Summer Reading Fun - Saturday August 2nd!!!

The Sierra Madre Public Library Summer Reading Program Grand Finale is on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Join us for FREE library fun for the whole family. “The Wolf Who Cried Boy” Puppet show starts at 11:00 am, and chamber music will be performed by Barbara and Alan Geier from 2:00-4:00 pm.

The Sierra Madre Police Department will be holding the Annual National Night Out Event on Tuesday August 5, 2014. This community and family oriented event will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memorial Park, located at 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.
