Computers

Computer Classes
The Library offers free beginning computer classes for adults taught by expert volunteers. Instruction takes place on PC computers using Microsoft Windows.
Current classes include:

  • Introductory Windows 7
  • Pick the right PC
  • Basic Email
  • Microsoft Word 2010
  • Excel 2010

Classes are limited to 4 students and meet on Mondays & Wednesdays from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Schedules and Registration forms are available at the Library.

There is a $20.00 registration fee, refundable on day of attendance. For more information please call the Library at 626-355-7186.

Public Computers
The Library has 7 computer workstations with:

  • Internet access
  • Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access & Publisher)
  • Microsoft Visio 2010

A scanner for documents, photos and slides is also available.

Computer time is limited to two 1 hour sessions per day.

To use the computers, a current library card is required. Visitors without library cards may purchase a computer-use only card for $1.00 per day for 2 one-hour sessions. Minors must have parental approval before using the internet. All users must agree to abide by the Library's Computer & Internet Policy.

To avoid disappointment, reservations are encouraged and can be made by phone, online or from any computer in the Library.

Printing in black & white ($0.20) and color ($1.00) is available.

The Children's Computers offer a variety of educational software, Microsoft Office and Internet access.

Public Wireless Network
Patrons may use their own laptops and portable devices to connect to the Library's wireless network. General instructions for wireless use can be obtained from the Service Desk. All users must agree to abide by the Library's Computer & Internet Policy.
