On Saturday, October 19, 2013, take part in the 9th annual Oktoberfest Golf and Tennis Tournament which raises funds for the City of Sierra Madre’s Youth Activity Center (YAC) run by the YMCA. The YAC is a place for teens to hang out and socialize; through the YMCA it offers a wide variety of activities and amenities for immediate members, such as an educational speaker series, homework tutors, visual art classes, gardening, leadership roles with the elementary YMCA program and volunteer opportunities.
Hosted by the City of Sierra Madre Community Services Department and Senior Community Commission, Wellness in the Park brings together health and wellness related vendors, speakers and screenings to the Sierra Madre Community, specifically seniors. The event takes place on Saturday, September 21st from 9am to 12pm at Memorial Park, 222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. It is in conjunction with the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast which occurs from 7am to 11am; breakfast $5.00.
Join the City of Sierra Madre this summer for the Concerts in the Park, beginning Sunday, June 23, 2013 and occurring every Sunday through August 11, 2013. The concerts are FREE thanks to the support of Kensington Assisted Living Facility, along with numerous community hosts.
