Stop by the Sierra Madre Public Library during October and see their scarecrow, Library Lil. She is reading a Kindle and sitting on a cart of “Banned Books” to celebrate our freedom to read. Designed and created by staff members: Donna Howard, Meegan Tosh and Lori Garza, Library Lil took second place in the category “Best Representation of the Business.” The Foothill Creative Arts Group sponsored the contest, funded by the Kiwanis Club. . Lil joined approximately 50 other scarecrows around Sierra Madre in front of businesses and homes.
