Beginning in January 2014, patrons of the Sierra Madre Public Library may choose to receive their overdue notices by e-mail instead of mailed print notices.
Creativity and fun are in store when children gather at the Sierra Madre Public Library to create mini rose floats on Monday, December 23 at 10 a.m. Children of all ages are welcome to storytime for stories, songs, play, and, of course, rose float making.

Children, you are invited to join Hogwarts at the Sierra Madre Library on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and be sorted into your houses, make your own wand and other charming crafts, taste some of the mysterious treats from the hugely captivating book series, and play thrilling games.
Come enjoy the opening day festivities at the Sierra Madre Public Library and Richardson House on Saturday, September 28. Beginning at 10 am at Sierra Madre Public Library and continuing at 11 am at the Richardson House, this celebration highlights our grant-funded project featuring two innovative and interactive digital storyboards.

Teens interested in becoming a volunteer history docent can sign up in August at the Sierra Madre Public Library. Beginning in September 2013, five teens at a time will train and give tours during a five-week period using new Digital Storyboard technology at the Library’s Local History Room and at the Richardson House museum.
On a lazy summer morning when most people were still sitting with their morning coffee, members of the Sierra Madre Rotary Club picked up their paint brushes and headed for the Library. Once there, they primed and painted the new Local History Room, getting it ready for the new Digital Storyboards which will feature stories about “Sierra Madre Stories & Treasures”.
