1-2-3 Play with Me: A Parent/Child Workshop Series

Families with children ages three and younger are invited to register for the Library’s popular five-week Parent/Child Workshop featuring noted resource professionals on every Tuesday morning in April. The interactive workshops include toys, crafts, books and play in addition to discussions of parenting issues and concerns.

Art and Essay Contest for local youth

So Much to See So Much to Do @ Sierra Madre Public Library

Local students in grades K – 8 are invited to enter the popular annual Art and Essay Contest, So Much to See So Much to Do @ Sierra Madre Public Library. Just pick up an entry form at the Library or go to the Library website or at local schools in Sierra Madre. Students who live in Sierra Madre, go to school in town, and/or have Sierra Madre library cards are eligible for cash prizes.

Teen Docent Training October 2013 to April 2014

Teen History Docent Training Classes are forming. 5 choices for training from October 2013 through early April 2014. Small groups of teens will train to give tours using the new Digital Storyboard technology at the Library’s Local History Room and at the Richardson House museum. Sierra Madre‘s Library received a grant from the state to train the teen volunteers as history docents.
