Sierra Madre City Code Enforcement Officer self-initiates activity and also responds to complaints of city code violations and parking matters. Our goal is to address all municipal codes and parking laws to insure the health and safety of our residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Code Enforcement Officer investigates minor violations to major safety issues, ranging from property maintenance to ensuring that contractors have permits and licenses. Many Municipal Code violations detract from the character of our neighborhoods. Sierra Madre prides itself on its small-town character---we seek non-enforcement resolutions whenever possible. For example, the Code Enforcement Officer has built partnerships with community organizations to help residents in need of guidance and assistance. We strive to resolve each contact in a positive and timely manner to try to avoid administrative abatement procedures.

Parking laws are strictly enforced downtown, including in all municipal lots, and throughout the city.
