The public is encouraged to attend City commission and committee meetings. Most meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Agendas are posted at least 72-hours prior to the meeting in the outdoor bulletin boards at City Hall and the Sierra Madre Public Library, and online at the City Web Site. Agendas include the specific date, time and location for the meeting.
Regular Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month (except holidays) at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.
General Plan Steering Committee meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month, at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers.
Green Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public, and are held the Fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers.
Public hearings are convened by a decision-making body and usually include a report given by City staff, a statement by the applicant or their representative, and an opportunity for members of the public to voice their support, concerns or opposition to the proposal or project. Action is taken by a vote of the decision-making body after hearing the evidence and considering public input.
