Hiring Process

Application Process
Applications for employment are accepted for open positions only.
Applications are available in the City of Sierra Madre Community & Personnel Services Office located in City Hall at 232 West Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre, California 91024, or by calling (626) 355-7135. Although a resume may be submitted, it will not be accepted as a substitute for any of the required application documents. Completed applications must be submitted no later than the filing deadline.

Selection Process
The qualifications of each applicant are forth in the job announcements. Those applicants determined to be best qualified for the position will be invited to continue in the recruitment process. Candidates participating in an oral interview will be evaluated on experience, training and personal qualifications for the position.

Employment Information
The City of Sierra Madre will require, as a condition of employment, documentation of the legal right to work in the United States. The candidate selected for the position may be required to successfully pass a thorough drug screening and other appropriate medical screening. Some positions may require background investigations. By submitting a signed application you are authorizing the City of Sierra Madre to conduct an appropriate background investigation.
