Polyphagous Shot Hole Borer (PSHB):The Department of Public Works would like the community to be on alert for the PSHB, which has been found in several areas of the City.  The PSHB is a relatively recent pest that affected a number of public and private trees, mostly in the northern-most areas of town.  The pest is attacking Western Sycamores and Coast Live Oak trees at this time, but has also been found in a few other species. Please click HERE for the most recent information on this pest.

Parkway Tree Trimming - In an effort to consistently maintain the City of Sierra Madre's tree-lined streets the Public Works Department provides tree trimming on a rotating schedule.

Request for Parkway Tree Trimming or Removal-All individual requests for trimming or removal of parkway trees must be applied for by contacting City Hall at 626-355-7135. Such requests will be reviewed by the Department of Public Works.
